Policies & Procedures
Class Registration
All class registrations should be completed online.
Safety
Please follow instructions carefully, pay attention to the instructor at all times, and practice only the skills being taught. Parents: Please instruct your children to listen, follow instructions, and stay seated when waiting for a turn. Any student who does not follow directions can cause major safety concerns and will be asked to sit out and watch if a disruption occurs. Students will be spotted during classes, which means physical contact will occur. If this is a concern, please speak with your instructor (or your child’s instructor before class).
Studio Policies
Arrival - Arrive no more than 5 minutes before the start of your class/lesson. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will not be able to attend the class. Our front door is locked 24 hours a day and your instructor is the one to let you in. Please wash or sanitize your hands upon entering the building.
Shoes - Leave shoes under the bench or the cubbies in the lobby.
Personal Belongings - These can go to the studio with you. Please limit the space you are taking up by leaving unnecessary items at home.
Masks - Masks are no longer required, all individuals who wish to wear a mask are welcome to do so.
Water bottles - Please bring your own, we do have a refill station. We do not supply cups.
Grip Aids - We supply powdered chalk and rock rosin for classes. If you prefer grip aid for class, you may bring your own. Be mindful of how you are applying it and do not let these sticky items get on our floors.
Departure - Clean up after yourself. Do not leave any chalk, rosin, or garbage around your workspace.
Smoking & Vaping - to maintain a healthy and safe environment for all participants, A-WOL strictly prohibits smoking, vaping, or the use of any tobacco or nicotine products inside the premises and within 10 feet of any entrance.
Anyone found violating this policy may be asked to leave without a refund and could face further consequences, including suspension from A-WOL activities.
No Influence of Substances - For the safety and well-being of all participants, staff, and visitors, our studio maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of substances.
No participant may attend class, training, or workshop while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substances (including prescription or over-the-counter medications that affect coordination, judgment, or alertness).
Any individual suspected of being under the influence will be asked to leave immediately without a refund and could face further consequences, including suspension from A-WOL activities.
Safety Waivers
All students must sign a safety waiver prior to participation at A-WOL. Minors must have a parent/guardian signature (this cannot be a friend’s parent, it MUST be a legal parent/guardian). To request a copy of this waiver to send with your minor child to class, please email fly@awoldance.org and put the words “waiver request” in the subject line.
Make-up Policy
Make-ups are for series classes only and can take place during our Open Gym time. Cancellations are allowed due to sickness, injury, or if you inform us 72 hours prior to the series start. You may use your credit up to one week after a series ends, and you can have 1 make-up per 4-week and 2 make-ups per 8 week-series.
If you need to inform us of an absence, please email fly@awoldance.org, and include the date you would like to schedule your make-up. Please note that apparatus choices are limited to lyra, sling, fabric, rope, and trapeze, or you are welcome to bring your own and have it inspected by our staff prior to rigging.
Missing a drop-in class
If you are signed in to a class online, you have until 24 hours prior to the class to please email fly@awoldance.org that you will not be attending, otherwise this class will be deducted from your account.
Waitlist Process
If you add yourself to the waitlist, you are making a commitment to attend, should a spot become available for you. If a spot does become available, you will be notified automatically by email (at a minimum of 24 hours before class). We will not add you without your permission if we are adding students less than 24 hours prior to the start of the class. Please make sure your credit card is on file in order to hold your spot.
Be on time for class!
Warming up is the key to injury prevention. Students who arrive more than 10 minutes late to the designated start time will be asked not to participate (and will not be eligible for a refund of the preregistration purchase).
Keep our space clean!
Please remove trash, empty water cups, belongings, etc from the space when you exit. Please take pride in our space by keeping it clean. Shoes are not allowed in the warehouse.
Payment Policy
Payment is required in advance of taking any class or workshop. Classes do fill and we require advance registration. If a student attends a class without making a purchase, we reserve the right to charge the credit card affiliated with the student’s file. If a student accumulates any unpaid class credits on the account (due to expired cards on file, etc.), we reserve the right to refuse entry into class until the account is reconciled.
Refund Policy
Please note that we do not offer refunds for purchases. Take care to be certain of your purchases when you make them, and be diligent about sending an email to fly@awoldance.org, to maintain the credit on your account. More specifics are listed below:
Drop-in Classes, Workshops, and Private Lessons:
We have a 24-hour early cancellation policy. Email fly@awoldance.org at least 24 hours before the class, workshop, or lesson and we will credit your account. We will assist you in rescheduling the class.

There will be no refunds/credits issued for a series unless the absence is due to extenuating circumstances. Please email fly@awoldance.org 72 hours before the start of the series if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Expiration Dates
Please note that some purchases have expiration dates. We reserve the right to refuse requests for extensions past the stated expiration date. You can view your purchase expiration dates through your online account profile at any time.
Class Schedules
Please note that our regular weekly class calendar is subject to change. We do not guarantee that a weekly drop-in class will be offered for any designated period of time. We reserve the right to cancel classes with low enrollment and to shift class hours to accommodate instructor availability and/ or greater student interest. As a general rule, drop-in classes that retain less than 3 students in regular attendance may be canceled. If you are opted in to receive emails from the online registration system, you will be notified via email or text, if a class you have preregistered for should be canceled. If a class you have previously registered for is canceled, your account will retain the purchased class credit.
Open Gym
All open gym participants must have aerial training or gain instructor permission via email (fly@awoldance.org) prior to registering for a class. A-WOL Open Gym is a supervised independent practice time with certain restrictions. Students are not permitted to use this time for providing private instruction to other students or attempting new skills for which the student has limited knowledge. Only A-WOL staff are permitted to rig apparatuses and make equipment adjustments. A-WOL reserves the right to refuse access to any participant who conflicts with these guidelines. The open gym coach will not provide instruction.
Parent Drop-off Policy
Students in our youth program may not be dropped off more than 15 minutes prior to class start time.
Sick Policy
Masks are Optional at A-WOL
To help prevent the spread of illness, we ask that all individuals follow these guidelines:
Do not attend class if you are sick.
If you are feeling unwell, please consult a healthcare professional.
Wash or sanitize hands frequently.
By attending class, you acknowledge the responsibility of monitoring your health, using a shared space and seeking medical advice when necessary. Please refer to the Refund Policy for cancellation notices. If you are sick please refer to the Make-up Policy for guidelines.
Inclement Weather
The decisions to cancel class for inclement weather are made with the intent to ensure that everyone is safe at A-WOL. For adult classes, A-WOL will make a decision to cancel at a minimum of 3 hours prior to class. A-WOL may also cancel a class if the coach cannot safely make it to and from class, if public transport shuts down, or if the safety of students & coaches seems compromised due to concerning travel conditions or extreme heat (generally when the warehouse reaches temperatures over 95°F). If a class is canceled, A-WOL will offer an open gym make-up time to be used before the end of the enrolled session. Students will be notified by email in the event of a cancellation.
If A-WOL does hold class and you are unable to attend due to the weather, please contact fly@awoldance.org
Aeros and FlyCo students will be notified by the Head Coach of any class cancellations due to inclement weather.
